Christina Whiteside

With over 10-plus years of executive and administrative experience, Christina Whiteside is the owner and founder providing superior administrative support to small businesses remotely. A highly organized and self-motivated individual, Christina has worked across different job sectors, including but not limited to: nonprofits, insurance, manufacturing, academia, local government, and in various roles on political campaigns.

Having worked alongside Patrick Mannion, then president, chair, and CEO of Unity Mutual Life Insurance (now Columbian Financial), it was then - right out of college - that she learned the importance of attention-to-detail and being a keen listener leads to efficiency.

From there, her career trajectory landed her at the Central New York Community Foundation, respectively, where she started as an administrative associate and worked her way up to a dual role as their administrative and communications associate where she balanced her time monitoring the front desk, staff needs and accommodations, the building as a whole, while assisting the communications department with various publications, writing and interviewing prospective individuals and organizations.

After nearly three years and a total career pivot later, Christina found herself working for candidates running for local office. The often fast paced sector allowed her to gain more personal insight: to remain calm and collected in light of high-stress situations. Whether it was crisscrossing towns and villages within Onondaga County to canvassing and speaking to constituents, it was an experience that highlighted and tested Christina’s ability to adapt on the fly regarding multiple circumstances.

”Providing references is tricky, given that the performance of the person you are referring can reflect on you. However, I happily, and confidently say, that I would not hesitate to engage Christina Whiteside in any endeavor. I have worked with her on two projects and found her to be a passionate and tireless worker and partner. I look forward to my next opportunity to work with her again.”

— Tony Malavenda, former candidate for Onondaga County Executive

Hi there!

Thanks for taking some time to check out The Assist.

The Assist has been two years in the making and I am so excited that I took a leap of faith to share my expertise and talent I’ve developed over the last 10-plus years in the administrative and executive fields. The Assist is not only a play on the work that I’ve refined and fine-tuned over my professional career, but my years as an athlete - where attention-to-detail is the key to game-planning and being able to put a W in the win column.

My business is an extension of how I like to go through life - helping others in whatever capacity that may be. In this case, it’s small business owners and individuals who would like to streamline their business and get back time in their day. Stops across different work sectors have allowed me to become a well-rounded employee and individual. I take pride in finding my principal’s voice - to anticipate the next move, to plan ahead and be proactive when the situation calls for it.

The Assist is a representation of myself. I hope to bring a little bit of everything - my work ethic, my passion, and compassion to what small businesses deal with on a daily basis. I look forward to building alongside you and learning together with what systems work and don’t work.

I am excited to learn from all of you, your business and the creativity you create and put forth to help other individuals. I am looking forward to building The Assist into a business where collaboration and good conversation are the focal point. And I’m so excited to establish relationships - new and old, utilize my network and ultimately, grow together.

Sincerely,

Christina
